5 Highlighters You Need To Try

9 May 2017

It seems inappropriate to leave the house without that cheekbone glow. I don't know what life was like before highlighter - how dramatic right? But no seriously, I feel complete once I have dusted that glow on all the high points of my face.
Make Up Revolution Ultra Strobe Balm; This is so strong, and this is perfect to apply to foundation whilst it is still wet. I have tried this highlighter over powder and it doesn't blend too well. This is also a great base under foundation to allow the highlighter to shine itself through. This shade is Euphoric and all I do is swipe my finger over it and dab to my cheek bones.

Soap & Glory Love At First Blush; If you are a fan of a coral glow then this one is for you. I also love using each individual shades for an eyeshadow look as it is so pigmented. This itself is more of a blush but it has a strong highlight to it, I love to apply this to the apples of my cheeks with a blusher blush if my highlighter blush is drying from its weekly clean!

NYX Illuminating Bronzer; Enigmatic, how beautiful is this? If you fake tan or if you are simply tanned it looks gorgeous. I like to apply this softly over the areas I bronzed to give more of a peachy glow to my face. I haven't put this down since I purchased it.

NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator; If you do like liquid highlighters, you'll love this one. If you want your foundation to be glowing then mix this with it before you apply. It gives a really natural finish that isn't too overpowering. The shade above is in sunbeam.

Finally, my all time favourite MAC Soft & Gentle, now this is on the pricey side. However I have had this well over a year and I use it most days and there is no sign of hitting pan just yet. This compliments every look I wear and it has the right amount of gold flecks in it. It is just beautiful.
