The Ordinary | Review

So if you haven't heard of The Ordinary skincare, where have you been? The brand's design is very clinical looking yet the price of this brand is so affordable.
So for starters, it does look expensive right? Sometimes the most expensive products in my opinion are very simple in their appearance - maybe it's just me. But their approach to these products are very laid back style however the list of ingredients on the products and appear to be quite scary at first. I did a lot of nosing around of their site and found a regimen guide which is a guide to advise of when to use the products and a summary of their use.

Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%  -  £4.90

This little gem is quite powerful and every time I apply it in the evening I know I will wake up the next day with skin that is glowing. It has been shown to reverse signs of ageing while brightening the skin. I am only 22, however I'll start young where I can - ha. However I definitely agree with the brightening aspect. Due to the vitamin C, I recommend mixing a tiny bit of this product with a moisturiser to build up your skin's tolerance. When I first applied this product, let me just say I screamed the place down as it burned!!! - Slight exaggeration.

Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2%  -  £5.50

Lactic Acid is an alpha hydroxyl which is designed to gentle exfoliate the skin. This is my favourite to apply, I apply this in the evening and I wake up in the morning and yes... my skin is peeling. It looks like those times when you used to apply PVA glue on your arm at school and the satisfaction of peeling that off was incredible... those were the days. But yes, it is amazing. Again the first few times applying this your skin will feel quite a strong tingling sensation. This product does contain Tasmanian pepperberry known to reduce signs of inflammation.
