Makeup Essentials For The Winter Season

6 March 2017

I don't know about you guys, but I am a bit fed up of this winter already but this morning, I woke up to actual sunlight through my curtains which made me so much happier. Spring will be here in a matter of few weeks and my skin cannot wait as I am struggling to actually make my skin look healthy.

I used to be a fan of really matte skin, but I am obsessed with skin that glows and looks healthy. However the winter seems to rob your skin of any source of life so I have had to find some products that achieve me a fake glow.

I am not too bothered about what is on my eyes recently and I am happy with just a couple of coats of mascara as I am digging the natural look. I picked up this mascara from Barry M ; Show Girl and it gives you volume and length to your lashes so I really don't need to fuss over using different mascaras to get both results. It is super cheap too which is nice as it makes a change to have something so affordable.

Foundation, Ex1 has been my go-to every single day of this pesky winter season. It is perfect for those who do have olive skin and the shade range is incredible. This foundation leaves me with a healthy glow easily.

Like I said, I am not a fan of a matte look but I do still have to powder my T-Zone but again, I am opting for something that is light weight Bourjois do an amazing powder that smells great. What I like about this powder is that is does tame the shine but does not look cakey so it is a thumbs up for me.

Concealer, L.A. Girl PRO conceal is perfect for my lazy mornings. I struggle getting out of bed and I can't be bothered to deal with brushes so this application may not be hygienic I know, but it suits me. Coverage is perfect for the under eye area and also a few lines down my nose, cupids bow and chin.

I can't go without bronzer, this is the key product to my look. Makeup Revolution have this beautiful baked bronzer. Now a little of this does go a long way I warn you! It is so pretty and it is so easy to get carried away with it but it does not look pretty on the face. Less is more!

Finally... I like to dab Soap & Glory ; Hocus Focus onto my cheek bones and I blend this in with a damp beauty blender. Seriously the healthy skin is complete after this step. You can now go about your day looking like you have just spent a day soaking up the sun.
