LUSH MOISTURISER | OILY SKIN?

24 May 2016

The important thing about having a good base for your make up is making sure that moisturiser is suitable for your type of skin. It can be difficult though, especially if you have combination skin, therefore you have an oily T-Zone and maybe some dry patches. I have struggled for ages and I thought that just using a moisturiser for dry skin (as the majority of my skin was more dry than oily) would do the job, but I was simply wrong.

I would apply my favourite moisturiser which made my skin look glowing but no foundation would really stay put, not even with a good primer or setting spray and as you can imagine, that situation is so annoying and uncalled for! I kept researching about it all and I just kept reading about making sure that every product you use has the same texture or whatever, like oil based, water based etc. I wasn't going to go through all that effort and I have many different foundations that I use for dewy or matte finishes.

So, I thought it was time to change up the moisturiser, funnily enough though I didn't get there first, my boyfriend went into Lush and purchased this for me from there and bless him, he even discussed what my skin type was with them so they could choose a moisturiser that would work for me. Enzymion is perfect for my skin, I have placed below an extract about it from their website;

A gentle face cream to replenish moisture without oiliness, leaving a matte finish. We use a whole fresh lemon in every pot to stop your skin looking shiny, popped in fresh papaya, and blended in light oils and cocoa butter. Fresh fruit contains enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids to remove dead skin cells and help to stimulate and brighten.
Have you read that above? I mean it sounds like a dream, and it literally is a dream to my skin... no kidding! I can wear any foundation over this and it doesn't slide about, I don't look shiny so my skin is staying matte all day and the redness of my skin has really calmed down. So to my boyfriend, if you're reading this, then you did good.

Have you tried this? What moisturisers work for you?
