HAIR TUTORIAL - BRAID

15 March 2015

Good evening;
I thought I would share with you guys and gals how I styled my hair today. For those of you who don't know, I change my hair ALL the time. It has been every shade, and I was recently  bright red! However I did think in the end it was washing me out big time! So I stripped my hair, went ginger, put an ash brown on it, then I spent an hour having highlights at about 12% under a dryer. Hah! However I'm so grateful as my sister did a beautiful job as always! Top hairdresser.

So back to this look, it really is quite simple. I believe it looks a lot better with curly, wavy hair as there is more texture to the hair.

  1. Grab a section of hair from the right side of your head, and start french braiding it, grabbing small sections as you go long, secure the end with a hair band and pull at the braids sections making it look messier.
  2. Repeat this step on the other side of your head.
  3. Once you have your two sections, grab the first braid and place it to the back of your head, and pin it with bobby pins.
  4. Repeat with the other braid, however with the ends tuck them underneath each braid, hiding the hair bands.
  5. And you're done! Total time 5 minutes top!

Do you like this look?

  1. This is so pretty! I'd love to try this but your braid looks so thick. My braids always look quite thin so I don't think it would look as good Haha

    1. Thank you chick! What I do for a thin braid, is once it has been tied on the end, pull slightly at the braids edges which will loosen it and make it look thicker :) x
